Our staff is always happy to assist you in any way possible.
NUTRITION: If you have concerns about nutrition we are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Not every food is suitable for every pet, or every situation, and we will work with you to plan the best feeding strategy for your canine and feline friends. This may include dry or canned commercial foods, healthy treat options, or even nutritionally complete home-prepared diets.
The clinic carries Royal Canin prescription foods for a variety of short term and chronic health issues, however we are happy to authorize prescriptions for purchase of other brands such as Science Diet and Purina.
BEHAVIOR: Behavior problems are the number one reason that pets are surrendered to animal shelters and rescue organizations. These problems can range from separation anxiety and hyperactivity to inappropriate litter box use or destructive tendencies. Every patient has a different underlying reason for their actions, and we will work with you, sometimes with the aid of a trainer, to help determine the cause of the problem behavior in order to find a solution.
For dogs with severe noise phobias or thunderstorm anxiety, ask us about the ThunderShirt. Several of our staff members use this calming device on their own dogs.
COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES: Do you have an older pet with arthritis? Maybe you have a pet with a spinal problem? Dr. Chalyn Fayard is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and she uses acupuncture therapy to provide pain relief for arthritic pets, as well as other benefits such as increasing appetites and reduction of itching for allergic animals. Ask a staff member for more information regarding this treatment method.
EXOTIC PETS: In addition to cats and dogs, we are also able to provide wellness care to rabbits and guinea pigs, as well as parrots and other pet birds.
